In order to keep a more uniform league, the BYFL will be utilizing the same registration paperwork that it uses for registration of its Fall (full-contact) League. There are several forms you will need to fill out in order to register your child to play Flag Football. A fully register player will have submitted a copy of their birth certificate (proof of age), a BYFL 2011 Registration form, and a BYFL Physical Form (to be completed by family doctor). There is also a Medical History form to be completed by Parent/Guardian, which shouldbe turned into the coach during the first week of practice. This form is used to make the coach aware of any allergies or ailments the coach should take into consideration.
The BYFL also takes seriously the personnel they utilize when dealing with the children in our league. All coaches are subject to a thorough background check, which is then discussed and approved/disapproved by the Board of Directors. Anyone interested in becoming a Berwick Youth Flag Football Coach, should print out the following Coaching Application and submit it to the BYFL during the time of registration, personally to a Board of Directors member, or mail it to:
